I have got to see Moab is definitely a hidden treasure. I remember when my friends told me we were going to Moab for the day and I looked at them, puzzled, like where is that? They just laughed and stated \”Trust me, you\’ll love it!\” They weren\’t wrong. I had a great day there and wanted to share with you guys. The activities we did were kind of spur of the moment, but I believe that is what made them so great. It was definitely different that what most people would probably do here but I am going to share them with you. Here are my top 3 different outdoor activities to do in Moab, Utah.
Rent a UTV at Moab Tours
This was actually a spur of the moment idea by one of my friends but it was actually so worth! A group of us actually rented a UTV that seated 5 of us and we were able to take it out on the street then into some fun, rocky trails in Moab. There were several trails that have breathtaking views of Arches National Park. However, the best view we had was on the Hell\’s Revenge Trail. Now, this trail is not for the faint of heart. There are very steep hills and narrow turns that I would recommend you either have someone experienced drive or take the guided tour with an expert. We actually ended being right behind a guided tour group which took us to an amazing overlook of the Colorado River. It was called the Portal overlook and the view there are perfect for a photo op. The tour guide was actually nice enough to take a picture of all of us as a courtesy. Even gave us some tips on what to do after the trail. I highly recommend using Moab Tours on your UTV tour adventures.

Hike To Mill Creek Waterfall

The Mill Creek trail is an easy hike and is around 4 miles round trip. What I will say is that this trail you do have to trek through some water so I recommend wearing shoes or sandals that you don\’t mind getting wet. This trail is pretty well known to the locals so you will see a high number of people hiking the trail and doing some climbing on some parts of the waterfall (This was shocking to me too but normal).
At the end of the hike is a waterfall and water hole where you can swim. There is a spot up above above where a few brave souls would jump into the water from but I wouldn\’t recommend it myself since that water was not very deep there. The waterfall is fairly small to. I believe there is another one further up to the one we went to but we were unable to see it since it was getting later in the evening.
Mill Creek waterfall is a beautiful spot that I recommend all to visit if they are ever in the Moab area. It is doable for most ages ( I saw ages ages 9 and up doing the trail) so if your family is look for a chill spot to swim and see a nice waterfall.
Rotary Park (Harmony Park)
We actually stumbled upon this park and used it as a meet up spot. Rotary Park is a fun, quaint spot where a couple of us had fun making music. I know you\’re wondering how in the world we did that. Well, the park has a number of musical instruments to play. It was a unique addition to park that I have never seen so this is why I am adding it to the list. The Harmony Park had xylophones of all different sizes. Which definitely brought out the inner child in all of us! We had such a fun time creating music, even as adults. I am sure people of all ages would have a good time here. There are also places to have a picnic and hike but we just stuck to making the music.
Moab has so much more fun things to do but these were my 3 highlights on this trip that I would recommend anyone to visit. If you\’re ever in the area I would say you can\’t go wrong with either of these choices.
