If you have ever thought of solo traveling… Read this.

For anyone who has ever wanted to solo travel. I can tell you from experience that I know what you are thinking.

I remember looking at all these spots around the world that I wanted to go to and wanting to book my flight instantly! I remember telling my friends about the trip and them being super excited, but also, gave me reasons why they probably wouldn’t be able to come. I remember looking at posts of other people traveling and seeing how amazing their photos looked. While I was at home, usually in my pajamas, and eating junk food just wishing I could be them. Then, would look at flights for one, just to shake my head and slam close my laptop. I was feeling so discouraged that I couldn’t just go for it! But, also felt like going somewhere solo would be scary, boring, or lonely. I remember thinking all these thoughts as I was sitting in my room… Feeling those exact same emotions… Scared, bored, and alone.

It was at that moment that I decided that I would just stop letting these limiting beliefs stop me from doing something I have always wanted to do. TRAVEL!

I went ahead and started researching places to go for solo women. Then started looking into flights and hotel rooms that were in my budget and BOOM! I booked my first solo trip! It was to Portland, OR for my 28th birthday. No one could go, and I was finally okay with that! I went and had an amazing time exploring the city of Portland. I stayed in a cozy AirBnB with some kindred souls who were always around to talk to and get advice on what sites to check out. I actually felt so safer than I felt in my hometown and also…. FREE! I couldn’t believe that I had waited so long to to do a solo trip but I knew that I wanted to continue doing them as much as I could!

So, to anyone who wants to solo travel, but is unsure if it is a good idea. I want to ask you, what is stopping you from solo travel? I now want to tell you what if those beliefs are just beliefs. Now, I want to ask if you could finally go to that place you always wanted to go, how would it make you feel? Wouldn’t that feeling be worth just going for it and not being stuck in beliefs that aren’t serving you?

If I could give any advice to anyone who wants to solo travel I say go for it! Do the research, make sure it\’s in your budget, book it and GO!

Trust me, it’s so worth it.
